From Japan to Asian destinations

I'm trying to travel around winter break (december 23-January 2) from Osaka Japan to another Asian destination. Maybe Thailand or The Philippines. Does anyone have any advice? Does anyone wanna meet up in Manila/Bagkok/Jakarta? Kayak.com is good yea? Is it the best? I'll fly an hour of the day and I am flexible by about 3 days in either direction. Thanks.
