I'm flying back to the states tommorrow and I have lot's of film.
I've heard if your film goes through a certain something at the airport then all your photos will be exposed?
all that film ruined!
I don't want to chance it.
anyone know anything of that sort?
thanks!

Re: A little off subject but help would be nice...
Wed, August 29, 2007 - 10:27 AMOften there are signs warning people that the x-ray machine will destroy 800 speed film. Other film is safe, though.

Re: A little off subject but help would be nice...
Wed, August 29, 2007 - 8:54 PMWhen I went through security in India and Bangkok I asked them to bypass the xray and they did. I handed them a clear ziplock bag with my film in it and they passed it around the xray. But, this was about 10 years ago and the world has changed significantly since then.
There are also xray-proof bags available that are specifically meant for film. You can probably find them at photography shops.
And, with all that said I've had film go through airport xray without a problem.
