I know it's the high season, but tickets are very expensive, even flying out of Newark. any options?

    You might try signing up for email blasts from individual airlines. Once you sign up you can designate and change preferences depending on your destination. I live in Los Angeles and recently purchased a round-trip ticket to Ontario, Canada for about $300, including taxes and fees. I know it's a hassle to do it this way - but there are some sweet deals out there if you put in a little time.

    Try Aer Lingus out of SFO (San Francisco). They give you a day price schedule and their tax charges are way more reasonable.
