So I have a trip planned to New Zealand in January, and when I checked airfare a few weeks ago it would have been $1500 or so. This week the price quote is $2080. I know that prices fluxuate, and last year I purchased my ticket to Costa Rica at $200 higher than it was the next week. Does anyone know of a 'good time' to buy tickets, should I take the normal route of buying ASAP or wait a week or two more?

Re: buy now or next week?
Wed, September 26, 2007 - 6:53 AMI never buy 4 months out. Sometimes you can catch an air deal or sale. Just become compulsive about checking. I usually select my favorite airline to where I'm headed and then book 30 days out. I like the site, www.vayama.com for international. I leave in 4 days for a month and a half......France Germany, Spain and Morocco then come back thru the east coast for a week to good ol' Malibu. Traveling is so good for your spirit!...Luvs, Krishna
